What is your basic qualification?. Reason I am asking is because to work as a fashion marketing personnel, you need to have basic knowledge in fashion.  As it is a marketing job, you need to be also aware of the latest trend and what the customer needs. Hello Munidipa,  Please note as a marketing graduate, you would start at the base itself. Mainly sales is the job offered to a management graduate. As such I would suggest, shortlist few industries which you would like to join and make a career in. It can be any industry from banking to retail to pharma etc. But please note, as such whichever industry you choose and since you would be in the marketing position which is the base of any industry. Later on shifting to another industry would mean starting from scratch. So be careful in choosing. At the moment, know your strength and potential

Dear Aspirant, Thanks for getting back to me with more clarification. Now that you are a Sr. Manager, with 11 years of work experience, definitely you can scale up to AVP/VP level. However as I see, to be promoted to AVP/VP level, you are still short of a little more years of experience (may be of four years more). AVP/VP is a level up from the Sr. Manager and is more into strategy, planning, employee engagement, productivity, ROIs, KPI/KPA and financial resourcing. I think that again an Executive MBA would not help. Now what is more important is to keep gaining experience and keep looking out

Dear Aspirant, No need of getting confused. A time comes when you have to settle down in one of the areas which according to you and your experience are good to settle and which would offer a long term satisfaction in terms of salary and internal growth. You cannot work with every company and keep moving all the time. Five years experience and an MBA qualification is enough to keep progressing. You should focus on performing the best on the job and move upwards based on that. No other academic course is required. Sales and Marketing is a growing domain with lot of scope for improvement, i

Dear Aspirant, I would in turn ask you, what are your five reason for going to an MBA. I can give you many reasons, but are you going to choose what you like in those and think they are right? I would suggest that think for yourself and dont decide on the basis of what others say. Everybody's reason for choosing an MBA is different and it should be different and not generic. Some reason as listed already, however do not choose them for yourself. Think for yourself and the need for yourself about MBA. Best wishes

Dear Aspirant, Nine years of experience is a very handsome and valuable experience I would say. Why are you thinking of changing the sector altogether when you have acquired a sizeable years of experience which can help you climb the management levels in organisations. Experience is what matters and is what will give you returns. Going to another sector without any background will be like working like a fresher. Would you afford to do that? Also you current salary will not remain the same when you change sector. Is this fine for you? You will be required to learn everything new. Are you ready

Dear Aspirant, You have very diverse expectations and whether they are viable for you can be told by you only. To me, going to Canada or USA for working in the field of digital marketing or branding is fine. But here I would like to ask you whether have you really gained that much of competence in digital marketing or branding in just three years? You have worked in a startup which is a good learning experience and then entered into family business (apparently for no logical reason) and now you are thinking high of going to foreign countries for career. This sounds very rosy, but it is not. I
