The Delhi Police Head Constable exam is a Computer Based Examination (CBE) consisting of 100 Objective Type Questions (MCQs) of 1 mark each. The duration of the exam is 90 minutes. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • 12th pass from a recognized board or university.
  • For the Assistant Wireless Operator/Teleprinter Operator (AWO/TPO) post, candidates must have either passed 12th with Science and Mathematics as subjects or have a National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the trade of Mechanic-cum-Operator Electronic Communication System.

Age Limit:

  • 18-25 years as on 01.01.2023.
  • Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per the government rules.

Physical Standards:

Male:

  • Height: 165 cm
  • Chest: 83 cm unexpanded, 86 cm expanded

Female:

  • Height: 155 cm
  • Chest: 79 cm unexpanded, 82 cm expanded

Nationality:

  • Candidate must be a citizen of India.

Other Requirements:

  • Candidates must be in good physical and mental health.
  • Candidates must not have been convicted of any criminal offense.

Delhi Police Head Constable Exam Application Process

  1. Visit the official website of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) at https://ssc.nic.in/.
  2. Click on the “Apply” tab.
  3. Select the “Constable (GD) in Delhi Police Examination, 2023” link.
  4. Click on the “New User? Register Now” link.
  5. Enter your personal details and create a password.
  6. Login using your Registration ID and password.
  7. Fill in the online application form carefully.
  8. Upload your scanned photograph and signature.
  9. Pay the application fee through online mode.
  10. Submit the application form.
  11. Take a printout of the application form for future reference.
