1. Brown University

3. Cornell University

4. Dartmouth College

5. Harvard university

The University of Pennsylvania considers itself the fourth-oldest institution of higher education in the United States, though this is contested by Princeton and Columbia Universities. Penn students began to establish chapters of and live in houses rented or owned by fraternities. Since Penn did not have any housing on campus and since students came from all over the country.
7. Princeton University

8. Yale University
Yale University is the third-oldest institution of higher education in the United States. Yale’s central campus in downtown New Haven covers 260 acres and comprises its main, historic campus and a medical campus adjacent to the Yale-New Haven Hospital.
