Gate Exam Candidates must pass the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), an Indian national exam, in order to be admitted to the Master of Engineering (M.E. ), Master of Technology (M.Tech), and Ph.D. programs. It assesses the students’ technical and scientific knowledge. On behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, it is jointly managed by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) in Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee.
What is Gate Exam ?
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all-India examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of undergraduate subjects in engineering and science for admission into postgraduate programs. Gate Application Form 2023
To apply for the GATE 2023 exam, follow these steps:
- Visit the official website of GATE 2023: https://gate.iitk.ac.in/
- Click on the “Apply Online” link on the homepage.
- Create an account by entering your name, email address, and phone number.
- Once your account is created, log in and proceed to fill the application form.
- Fill in all the required details, such as your personal details, academic details, GATE paper(s) to be applied for, category, PwD status (if applicable), and contact details.
- Upload the required documents, such as a scanned copy of your passport-size photograph, scanned copy of your signature, category certificate (if applicable), and PwD certificate (if applicable).
- Pay the application fee using credit card, debit card, or net banking.
- Review your application form and submit it

- Age: The GATE test is open to candidates of any age.
