HTET stands for Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test. It is a state-level entrance test conducted by the Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) for the recruitment of teachers in government and private schools in Haryana. The exam is held for three levels:

HTET Eligibility: Age Limits
The candidate applying for the HTET Exam 2022 must fulfil the age criteria as per the official notification. The age limit criteria have been provided below.
HTET Educational Qualification for Primary Teacher (Level 1)
Candidates who are going to appear in the Level 1 examination for Primary Teacher must have to meet the following criteria
- Candidates should have completed their senior secondary examination with at least 50% from a recognized board and must have passed in 2 years of Diploma of Elementary Education.
- Candidates who have passed in the 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) are also eligible for the examination.
- Those candidates who are in the final year of D.El.Ed or B.Ed can also apply for the exam.
HTET Educational Qualification for Trained Graduate Teacher (Level 2)
Candidates must have to meet any one of the following eligibility criteria to apply for the HTET Level 2 exam:
- Interested candidates must have completed undergraduate in a relevant stream and have passed or appeared in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
- Passed undergraduate in a relevant stream with a minimum of 50% marks and have completed or pursued 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
- Graduate in an appropriate stream with at least 45% and have completed or pursuing 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
- Passed in the senior secondary examination or any equivalent along with at least 50% marks and have completed or pursued the final semester of the 4- year B.El.Ed.
- Candidates must have passed in senior secondary or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks and have completed or appeared in the last year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
- Completed graduation in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% marks and have passed or appeared in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
HTET Educational Qualification for Post Graduate Teacher (Level 3)
Candidates must have to meet any one of the following eligibility criteria to apply for the HTET Level 3 exam:
- Candidates must have completed their post graduation on a relevant subject with 50% or above marks.
- Have a Bachelor of Education degree.
- Completed their Matrics with Hindi & Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary/ Graduation/ Post Graduation in Hindi with a good academic record

Exam Pattern
The HTET examination is conducted on three different levels i.e Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 for different posts. Candidates who qualify in the examination will be called for the document verification round. Below we have given about the process of the exam.
The HTET exam is conducted on the pen-paper method and it will be based on multiple objective type questions. The total duration of the exam is two hours thirty minutes and the paper is available in both English and Hindi language. For each correct answer, one mark is awarded and no marks are deducted for incorrect answers.
