If they want to apply for CSE specializations or without a specialization course. candidates must have completed their BE/B.Tech or MS/ MCA in computer science or IT (Or any other allied subject) with at least a 65 percent aggregate. It is 60 percent for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD categories.

Selection Process
Stage 1: Candidates will be screened based on their GATE scores and bachelor’s degrees.
Stage 2: Candidates who have passed the screening process will be invited to an interview.
IIIT Delhi M.Tech Admission Steps
1. Candidates must complete an online application form for M.Tech Admissions, which can be found on the official website of the IIIT, Delhi.
2. Candidates can apply through the GATE or Non-GATE categories. If duplicate accounts are found, the candidate’s admission will be decided according to GATE standards.
3. Candidates must pay the application processing fee after completing the online application form.
4. Candidates who applied through the GATE category for M.Tech CSE will be shortlisted based on their GATE score and degree %. Admission will be granted depending on a candidate’s merit list rank and preference for specialization.
5. Those who applied through the GATE category for M.Tech ECE and M.Tech CB would be subjected to an initial screening based on their GATE score and degree %. Following the screening, a small number of students will be chosen for the following phase and will be required to participate in an interview, depending on which admission will be granted
6. Candidates for M.Tech CSE and M.Tech ECE in the Non-GATE category will be subjected to an initial screening depending on their degree percentage.
