The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) administers the lateral entry entrance exam known as JELET, or Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry, for students who wish to pursue engineering or technology courses in their second year of undergraduate studies.
Introduction
The Joint Entrance Lateral Entry Test is an engineering entrance examination conducted annually by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) for admission to Lateral Entry Bachelor’s Degree Courses in Engineering, Technology, and Pharmacy in Universities, Government Colleges, as well as Self Financing Engineering & Technological Institutes in the State of West Bengal.

What is JELET?
JELET is a computer-based test that consists of two sections:
- Section 1: Mathematics and Science (100 questions, 2 hours)
- Section 2: Engineering Aptitude (100 questions, 2 hours)

JELET 2024 Application Form

Latest Notification
- Application Form: The application form is now available online on the official website of the WBJEEB. Candidates can apply for the exam till 30 April 2024.
- Admit Card: The admit card will be released on 15 May 2024. Candidates can download their admit card from the official website of the WBJEEB.
- Exam Date: The exam will be held on 28 May 2024.
- Result Declaration: The result will be declared on 15 June 2024.

The application form will require you to provide the following information:

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for JELET 2024 are as follows:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
- Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for appearing for JELET 2024.
- Domicile: Candidates must be domiciled in the state of West Bengal.
Candidates who are appearing for the 10+2 examination in 2024 are also eligible to apply for JELET 2024. However, they will need to produce the proof of passing the 10+2 examination at the time of counseling.
