The Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (MAHA TET) is a state-level teacher eligibility test that is used to evaluate applicants for positions teaching classes 1 through 8 in Maharashtra’s public schools. The Maharashtra State Council of Examinations (MSCE) oversees its administration.

There are two papers in the MAHA TET exam:

  1. For Primary School, Paper I
  2. For secondary and higher secondary schools, Paper II

Paper I has 100 questions, and you have 120 minutes to answer them all. Paper II has 150 questions and has a 180-minute time limit.

Introduction

Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE) conducts MAHA TET i.e. Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test to determine the eligibility of candidates who want to become teachers for the schools of Maharashtra. It is conducted at two levels- Paper 1 (for Primary Classes 1-5) and Paper 2 (for Upper Primary Classes 6-8).

In the examination year, the Maharashtra State Council of Examination publishes the MAHA TET announcement in August. As soon as the formal announcement is made public, we’ll update this area. For current changes, candidates should continue to often visit the official website or the MSCE official website.

Registration

You must make an account on the Maharashtra State Council of Examination (MSCE) website in order to register for MAHA TET 2024. You may log in and complete the online application form after creating an account.

Your personal information, educational background, and other pertinent facts will be requested on the application form. Additionally, a scanned copy of your passport-size photo and your signature must be uploaded.

You must pay the application cost after submitting the application form. You can use a credit card, debit card, or net banking to make the application fee

  1. Before you begin the registration procedure, be sure you have all of the necessary documentation.
  2. Complete the application form completely and truthfully.
  3. Upload the accurate scanned copies of your signature and passport-size picture.
  4. Immediately pay the application cost.
  5. For your records, save a copy of your confirmation email

Eligibility Criteria

The MAHA TET Eligibility Requirements for 2023 have not yet been made public. Candidates may use the 2022 eligibility requirements up until the official announcement is released. The qualifying requirements aren’t expected to change much, so applicants may use the same information from last year.

To take the exam, candidates must meet the requirements for MAHA TET eligibility. The eligibility requirements consist of two parts.

Application Fee

In the last step, candidates need to make a payment of the application fee to finally submit their application form. Candidates can follow the following steps to make the payment of the application fees:

Candidates can use any mode for payment like credit/debit card, net banking etc. Candidates need to take a print-out of the payment receipt and the MAHA TET Application form for future use.

FAQs

To receive the MAHA TET Certificate, applicants in the general category must receive 60% of the possible points, or 90 out of a possible 150 points. On the other hand, applicants from the OBC/SC/ST categories must obtain 55% of the marks.
