The Fountainhead School located in Surat has been awarded the Top Career Development Cells (Schools) award by Career Guide. The award was accepted by Mr. Anish Nair on behalf of the school. Mr. Nair in his acceptance speech on behalf of the school expressed his pleasure and gave due credit to the career counselling team of Fountainhead School and specially mentioned Ms. Ritu Khanna, the head of Career counselling for taking a keen interest in the lives of students and working tirelessly towards their future. Even during stressful and uncertain times of the pandemic, the Fountainhead School has not deflected from its path of educating and nurturing future leaders.
It is an independent, coeducational day school, affiliated with the International Baccalaureate and CIE, which imparts education to students from pre-kindergarten all through to the 12th Grade. It was founded by IIT Mumbai and IIM Ahmedabad graduates, Mr. Vardan Kabra and Mrs. Ankita Diwekar Kabra. Later, they collaborated with Mr. Parag Shah for a bigger campus in the Kunkuni village. The school’s name Fountainhead has a deeper connotation than it says. A fountainhead is a source of water, which signifies prosperity and growth. In the same manner, this school has been a source of knowledge and has brought abundance in the same form to its students.
The Fountainhead Preschool has over 300 students, and this school in Surat has over 2000 students under its guidance, working and striving for a better future. The mission of this school is to nurture leaders with character and competence. Not everyone may want to become a business or political leader or a leader in the sports or arts’ department. The kind of leaders that Fountainhead school hopes to nurture are those who can take charge of their lives, work effectively with others, do the right things even when no one is watching them and are internationally minded. The Fountainhead School has won several awards and accolades for their endeavours. Among the many, they have received the “FIT India- Certificate of Recognition” by the Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in the year 2020. They have also bagged the Special Jury Mention in the National Award for Innovation in Education, 2020. The school participated in the competition and won by showcasing “the disruptive and frugal innovations” initiated by the school during the COVID-19 induced lockdowns, which proved to be an asset in mastering the crisis and improve the excellence of the Institution.
