National Defence Academy Training
Candidates receive three-year training at NDA, one-year training at IMA. Candidates after clearing the UPSC conducted the NDA exam and SSB interview is sent for three-year joint training before graduating from National Defence Academy in Khadakwasla near Pune, Maharashtra. After three years of training, all the students are given graduation in BA/B.Sc./Bachelor’s of Computer Science from Jawaharlal Nehru University.
NDA academics include the common subjects of the three services. It covers weapon handling, map reading, military law, history and organization of each service. After successful completion of three years course from NDA, students are sent to training academics for one year of training at IMA before granting of commission.
