Azamgarh University is a public university located in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was founded in 1920 by the Nawab of Chhatari, Muhammad Ali Khan, as the Mohammad Ali Mohammad Khan University. The university was renamed Azamgarh University in 1975.
