Bharathidasan University is a public university located in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India. It was established in 1982 and named after the great revolutionary Tamil poet, Bharathidasan. History of the Campus
The University is a public state university located in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India. It was established in 1967 and is named after the Tamil poet and freedom fighter, Bharathidasan. The university has two campuses, the main campus at Palkalaiperur and the Khajamalai campus.

- A.P.J. Abdul Kalam (1931-2015) was the 11th President of India. He was a scientist and aeronautical engineer who played a key role in the development of India’s space program.
