History of the Campus
The University is a private deemed university located in Tirumalaisamudram, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India. It was founded in 1981 by the Sastra Group of Educational Institutions. The university has a sprawling campus spread over 232 acres of land.
The Main Building
The Main Building is the oldest and most iconic building on the University campus. It was built in 1981 and is named after the founder of the university, Dr. R. Venkataraman. The building is a four-storey structure with a central courtyard. It houses the university’s administrative offices, as well as the offices of the various academic departments.
Central Library
The Central Library is one of the largest libraries in Tamil Nadu. It is located in the Main Building on the University campus.
