A private, deemed university called Shiksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA), formerly known as Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University (SOA University), is situated in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India.[2] The institution has about 15,000 students and nine schools and colleges that provide degrees. Engineering, medical, pharmacy, business, nursing, biotechnology, science, humanities, environment, nanotechnology, materials science, agriculture, and law are just a few of the SOA’s programs that are nationally approved.

The institution Grants Commission (UGC) created Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan (SOA) University in 2007 as a deemed institution. It is situated in Bhubaneswar, India’s Odisha state. Dr. Achyuta Samanta, the man responsible for starting both the institution and the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), founded it.

Eligibility

The prerequisites for admission to SOA University differ based on the subject, level, and student type. The following general requirements must be met in order to be admitted to SOA University:

Undergraduate

  • When applying, applicants must be at least 17 years old.
  • 10+2 from a recognized board with a minimum overall score of 50%.

  • Apply online: The SOA University application is available online. For general candidates, the application cost is INR 1000; for SC/ST/PWD candidates, it is INR 500.
  • Take the SAAT exam: SOA University conducts an entrance exam called SAAT (Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Admission Test) for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The exam is held in three phases. The dates for the SAAT 2023 exam are as follows:
  • Phase I: April 23 to 30, 2023
  • Phase II: June 9 to 12, 2023

Result

The Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Admission Test (SAAt) results for Phase 3 of the 2023 admissions have been made public on the SOA University website. By using your registration information to log in to the SOA University website, you can obtain the results.

Rank and percentile are the two components of the SAAT findings. The percentile measures the proportion of applicants who received lower scores than the candidate while the rank indicates the candidate’s place on the merit list.

FAQs

As per the SOA placement report for the year 2021-2022 (mentioned on the official website), around 164 companies visited the campus for conducting the recruitment drive and Rs. 42 Lakhs was the highest salary offered to the students.

Candidate shall have passed B. Tech. or equivalent in the relevant field. Obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination.

The university in the NIRF-2021 and 2020 was in the top 100. SOA University improved its rank to 26 from 30 last year so did KIIT University which rose to 29 from 34 last year.

We can draw a verdict on student perception by comparing the rank of SOA and KIIT in the NIRF rankings. Since SOA is ranked higher than KIIT, one can assume that the subsequent perception of SOA will be relatively better compared to KIIT. Thus, this one goes to SOA.
