The National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad, which was founded in 1961, is regarded as one of the top design schools in the country. It is considered as one of the top 10 Art and Design colleges in India. To be admitted to the institute, students must pass the NID entrance exam. In India, there are 12 exam centers where the exam is administered. Any student who passed the class 12th test with a score of at least 80% from the CBSE or another recognized board is qualified to apply for undergraduate programmes. A candidate for a postgraduate course must hold a bachelor’s degree with a 3- or 4-year duration in any subject or a full-time diploma with at least a 4-year length in design, fine arts, architecture, or applied arts.
