The Birla Institute of Technological Sciences Entrance Examination which is popularly known as BITSAT is a popular engineering entrance exam among students who have recently completed their 12th standard education. This institute is considered as one of the institutes which takes admission on the Merit Basis and also based on the Counseling Rounds. Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunication are some of the branches in which engineering admissions can be taken.

 The BITSAT exam is a computer/Online based exam. It’s a 3 hours test and taken in the English Language. The pattern of this exam is Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). The Parts and the number of questions in this exam are given as follows:-

The Marking pattern for this exam is +3 and -1 for the right answer and wrong answer respectively. The Mock Test and Sample Papers are available for the students to practice, prepare, and be solid ready to appear for the examination. The syllabus for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are the same as the JEE Syllabus and the syllabus for Biology is the same as for the NEET Examinations. The fee for this exam is a Dynamic Fee which keeps on Updating on the official website of the Institute.

There are altogether 2960 seats available in altogether three branches of BITS in India across all the engineering branches. The seats of the Dubai Institute have to be checked on the official website of BITS Dubai. The fees in the Indian Institute are 160,000 per semester and 36,200 as the admission fees for the First Year irrespective of the branch you are studying into. The highest package offered by this institute is Lakhs per annum. Also, it is observed that there is a 9.6 % hike in the highest annual salary of the students.

To be eligible for BITSAT, candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. For B.Pharm. programs, candidates with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects are also eligible.

BITSAT is a computer-based test (CBT) with multiple-choice questions (MCQs). The exam duration is 3 hours. The paper consists of four sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology (as per the candidate’s choice), and English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning

Yes, candidates with PCB in their 10+2 can apply for B.Pharm. programs offered through BITSAT. However, they will only be eligible for the B.Pharm. course and not for B.E. or other science programs.
