  • Must have passed Class 9 or equivalent from a recognized school at least two years before the year of appearance in the CBSE Class 10 examination.
  • Must have passed Class 10 or equivalent from a recognized board at least one year before the year of appearance in the CBSE Class 12 examination.
  • Must be at least 14 years of age as on 31st December 2023 for Class 10 and 15 years of age as on 31st December 2023 for Class 12.

Additional Eligibility Criteria for Private Candidates

  • Students who were declared essential repeaters in the 2023 examination results.
  • Students who have not completed their schooling from a recognized school due to any genuine reason, such as illness or disability, may also be considered as private candidates.
  • Physically challenged candidates who are bonafide residents of the National Capital Territory of Delhi and have qualified Class 10 or equivalent from a recognized board on producing reasonable evidence of having difficulty in attending normal institutions in the subjects not involving practical training/examination.
