- Female: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years

- Educational Qualification:
- For General (UR)/General-EWS/OBC candidates: M.Sc. or equivalent degree/Integrated BS-MS/BS-4 years/BE/B.Tech/B.Pharma/MBBS with at least 55% marks.
- SC/ST and PwD candidates: Minimum 50% marks in the specified qualifications.
- Candidates currently enrolled in M.Sc. or those with a graduation degree can apply under Result Awaited (RA) category, provided they complete their degree within two years.
- Bachelor’s degree holders are eligible for the fellowship if they register/enroll for a Ph.D./Integrated Ph.D. program within two years.
- Master’s degree holders before September 19, 1992, with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible for Lectureship only.

- Eligible for similar relaxations in fee, age, and eligibility criteria (JRF and Assistant Professor) as given to SC/ST categories.
