Group 4 exam date 2021: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for Group 4 Exam 2021 are as follows:

1. Post-wise Academic Qualifications:

  • Village Administrative Officer (VAO):
    • SSLC passed with minimum marks for admission to higher secondary courses.
  • Junior Assistant (Security), Junior Assistant (Non-Security), Bill Collector, Draftsmen, Typist:
    • SSLC passed with minimum marks for admission to higher secondary courses and Government Technical Examination in typewriting.
  • Steno-Typist (Grade – III):
    • SSLC exam passed with minimum marks for admission to higher secondary courses and Government Technical Examination in both typewriting & shorthand.
  • Field Surveyor:
    • Candidates must be trained in surveys in industrial training institutes.
  • Typing and Stenography:
  • Steno-Typist (Grade–III) in Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board:
    • Must have passed H.S.C Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to College Courses of studies.

2. Age Limit:

  • Junior Assistant, Bill Collector, Typist, and Steno-Typist (Grade -III):
    • SCs, SC(A)s, STs, and Destitute Widows of all Castes: 18 to 37 years.
    • MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, and BCMs: 18 to 34 years.
    • Others: 18 to 32 years.
  • Village Administrative Officer (VAO):
    • SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs, and Destitute Widows of all Castes: 21 to 42 years.
    • Others: 21 to 32 years.

3. Knowledge of Tamil:

  • Candidates must have a working knowledge of Tamil.

4. Computer Qualification:

    • For Typist & Steno-typist posts: “Certificate Course in Computer on Office Automation” awarded by the Technical Education Department.

The TNPSC Group 4 exam must know how to fill out the application form. The steps to fill out the TNPSC Group 4 application form are as follows:

  • Visit the official website of the TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission)
  • Select the New User tab and register on the official website.
  • To register, fill out the personal details like name, date of birth, mobile number and email address.
