Exam Pattern

Preliminary Examination:

The preliminary examination consists of two papers: General Studies Paper-I and General Studies Paper-II (CSAT).

Each paper carries 200 marks.

Paper-I covers topics like History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Science, etc.

Paper-II (CSAT) assesses aptitude, reasoning, and comprehension skills.

2. Main Examination:

The main examination is a written examination consisting of six papers.

Papers are of descriptive nature.

General Hindi and General English papers are qualifying in nature, and candidates need to score a minimum qualifying mark.

Four papers are related to specific subjects chosen by the candidate. These subjects can include optional subjects as per the candidate’s preference.

Each paper in the main examination has different marks assigned to it.

3. Interview:

Candidates who qualify the main examination are called for the interview stage.
