Overview

SBI invites applications for the post of Apprentice for different states of India annually. SBI Apprentice is not a permanent employee of the Bank. The Apprentice will be trained about the work and the services that a bank provides to its customers. The candidate will be working under a senior bank officer who guides them in the work assigned to them. The candidates will be selected for a 1-year Apprenticeship training program with the SBI. The apprentices are eligible for a stipend of Rs.15000/- per month for the engagement period of one year.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of SBI Apprentice is based on the following factors:
- Educational Qualification: Graduation from a recognized University/ Institute.
- Age Limit: Minimum age of 20 years and maximum age of 28 years.

- Economically weaker section: No age relaxation
- Other Backward Castes (OBCs): 3 years
- Scheduled Castes (SCs): 5 years
- Scheduled Tribes (STs): 5 years
- General PwD: 10 years
- Other Backward Castes PWD: 13 years
- Scheduled Castes PwD: 15 years
- Scheduled Tribes PwD: 15 years
- Local Language: Knowledge of the local language of the applied state or region as specified in the official notification.
Note: Candidates in their last year/semester are also eligible to apply, but only if they can show proof of graduation on the day of the interview.

Application Process
How to Apply Online for SBI Apprentice?
- Visit the website https://bank.sbi/careers or https://www.sbi.co.in/careers and open the appropriate Online Application Form, available in the ‘Current Openings’.
- Fill out the application carefully with all the relevant details and submit the data. In the event of candidates not being able to fill the data in one go, they can save the data already entered. When the data is saved, a provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidates should note down the registration number and password. They can re-open the saved data using the registration number and password and edit the particulars if needed.
- Once the application is filled in completely, candidates should submit the data. After ensuring the correctness of the particulars of the application form, candidates are required to pay fees through the payment gateway integrated with the application.
- On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt and application form with fee details will be generated, which may be printed for record. Printout of Application Form is NOT to be sent to SBI.
