UPSEE is open to both residents of Uttar Pradesh and candidates from other states. The minimum qualifying marks are 45% (40% for the SC/ST category) in (10+2) or equivalent examination

Relaxation in Eligibility Criteria:
- There is a 5% relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories.
- There is a relaxation of 5% in the minimum qualifying marks for female candidates.

- Physics, Chemistry: Similar to the B.Tech syllabus.
- Mathematics/Biology: Based on the chosen subject.
- MBA (Paper 9):
- English Language: Grammar, vocabulary, uncommon words, sentence completion, synonyms, antonyms, relationship between words and phrases.
