CLAT PG stands for Common-Law Admission Test for Postgraduate. This exam allows the aspirants easy entry to the National law universities of India. There are a total of 37 National law Universities for LLM courses in India. A Masters degree in Law (LLM) is a two-year postgraduate degree in science or justice. LLM is a degree that empowers legal graduates in one of several subcommittees to specialise in law.
eligibility criteria
Firstly, An LLB Degree or an equivalent examination with a minimum of Fifty per cent (50%) of marks or its equivalent grade and for candidates belonging to General / OBC/ PWD/ NRI/ PIO/ OCI categories 45% of marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in April/May 2020 are also eligible to apply. No upper age limit is prescribed for appearing in CLAT 2020
About the entrance exam
Applications fees -the application fee for this examination is rupees 4000. The mode of examination is online and it happens once every year in the month of April or May. The duration of this exam is 2 hours (120 minutes) and the number of seats available are 742. There are 150 e objective / multiple choice questions wherein you get +1 (plus one) for every correct answer and -0.25 for every incorrect answer. Around 6000 students appear for this exam every year. You need not have any specific subject in class 12th in order to get this examination or be selected. Colleges are given according to the score in the examination.
Subject involved
English-English basic requirement for any exam in India as India is a diverse country and people have different regional languages so we need to have a basic language that has to be understood by all and a constitution is also written in English so it’s very much important for a lawyer to know English. The level of English asked in this exam is somewhere between moderate to semi high. They expect you to have good vocabulary and understanding skills in order to comprehend the passages given in the exam and further in life whenever needed. Comprehension is the key to understanding any situation. And as a law aspirant they expect you to have a good command on your comprehending skills. Number of questions 28-32. Marks awarded 28-32. Total weightage 20% standard of questions class12.
Mathematics (quantitative technique) -basic level of mathematics to test your problem solving skills. They examine your mathematical abilities taught till class 10th . Number of question 13 to 17 marks awarded 13 to 17.total weightage- 10% standard of questions class 10th.

Logical reasoning- As a lawyer you need to have logic every sentence you speak. Logical reasoning may involve strong and weak arguments ,assertion reason, logic extension ,critical reasoning, facts inference and judgements, assumption and conclusion and analytical reasoning. Number of question 28 -32 marks awarded 28 -32. Total weightage- 20% standard of questions class 10
Current affairs/General knowledge- general knowledge is a very important part of every person’s life. And in our case I mean in law; where are new judgements and amendments in the constitution every single day so they want you to be updated with everything happening around. And also So you can strengthen and support your arguments with proper examples and have a point of view. Number of questions 35 -39 marks awarded 35 -39. Total weightage- 25% standard of questions class12.

Legal reasoning -they don’t really expect you to be an expert in legal matters but they want to see your point of view on the case they want to judge your reasoning skills and see how much you can dig in order to find the answer. Questions may involve family law, constitution, law of torts,criminal law and law of contracts number of questions 35-39 marks awarded 35-39.total weightage-25% .

- current affairs/Gk- read newspapers daily, especially the articles given in it. Monthly magazines such as pratiyogita darpan.
