Overview of Master's Courses in Hong Kong

In Hong Kong, there are 20 local degree-awarding institutions, competition for places for Master’s degrees. At these institutions is high and places are substantially less than the number of students who actually fulfill the entry requirements for general admission to a university. There are eight UGC(University Grants Committee)-funded institutions namely CityU, HKBU, Lingnan University, CUHK, PolyU, Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (HKUST), HKU and most recently the Education University of HK (previously the HK Institute of Education 1994-2016).Hong Kong has eight public and several private institutions. Most Masters degrees are now for 1-2 years.. Courses are taught in English, but short courses in Mandarin are available

Requirements for Master's Courses in Hong Kong

All Top Universities need GRE/GMAT while some don’t.
A high good percentage in your Bachelors is needed for getting into a Top University – Usually 70% +.
IELTS/TOEFL examination needs to be taken to proof English Language proficiency.Minimum score of 6.5 is needed.
Applications are done individually for all Universities and the deadlines of each University are different.
Students will have to submit their essays, LOR, individual semester mark sheets of Bachelor degree & resume.
