IIM Trichy selects the candidates for its PGPM/ PGPM-HR program based on the candidate’s performance in CAT, performance in PI, Educational background, Gender Diversity, and quality of Work Experience. The selection criteria for PGPM and PGPM-HR admissions are explained in the sections below:
Shortlisting for PI
IIM Trichy will shortlist the candidates for the personal interview based on their CAT percentile. The candidates scoring above the minimum cut-off percentile will be shortlisted for the personal interview. The table below indicated the CAT cut-off.

Final Selection
After the interview has been conducted, the composite score of each candidate will be calculated and the merit list will be prepared based on the composite score. IIM Trichy DPM Admission 2023
Education:
- Master’s degree/ Postgraduate diploma/ Integrated Master’s degree/ 4-year Bachelor’s degree with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks (OR)
- Bachelor’s degree with 60% marks and a professional qualification (CA/ ICWA/ CS) with at least 50% marks
Qualifying Exam:
- The applicants must have taken the CAT, GMAT, GRE, UGC-JRF, or IIMB test within the last two years.
- Candidates who took the CLAT PG exam in 2020 or 2021 are also qualified.
- Candidates who hold a PGPBM from IIM Trichy or a PGDM from one of the IIMs are excused from taking the aforementioned exams.

FAQ's
The candidates will have to clear the CAT cut-off and get shortlisted for the personal interview. Then they will be selected based on factors like CAT score. PI performance, Educational background, Gender diversity, and Work experience. The selected candidates will get a seat for MBA at IIM Trichy.
The candidates need to score above the 92 percentile overall to get shortlisted for the IIM Trichy interview.
Candidates having a valid test score of CAT 2019 or GMAT score (test taken between May 01, 2019, and April 30, 2020) are exempted from the Written Test.
The total fee for the program is Rs.11.90 lakhs, which needs to be paid in nine installments. The total fees include the Tuition, Library, Case Permission Royalty, Textbooks, Academic Course Pack, Examination, and Alumni Activity.
The candidates can apply to IIM Trichy PGPM program through the CAT application only.
