There are wide career options in the commerce field. A student having studied commerce in 12th can pursue their profession in any of the following trending commerce courses:

  • Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com): It is a three-year graduate course. You have the option of both government and private colleges. You need a minimum of 50% in your 12th for pursuing B.Com. You have the option of B.Com (Hons.) too if you want to specialized subjects. You will study subjects like accounts, mathematics, and economics. B.Com in Computer application, B.Com in Ecommerce, etc subject choices you can select from. You have job options like an accountant, consultant, auditor, analyst, etc after completing B.Com.
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB): Five-year undergraduate course. You can take admission through national-level common entrance exams like CLAT, LSAT, etc. You have job options in law firms, government, and private sector, pharmaceutical companies, etc.
  • Cost and Management Accountant (CMA): If you have a bachelor’s degree in accounting you can become CMA.  You need to pass an exam on cost accounting with the certified cost and CMA certificate programs. You will have job options in the financial field, in accountancy, as an officer and as a manager, etc.
  • Chartered Accountancy (CA): To become a charted accountant you need to clear the CA foundation exam. Then you will need to complete ICITSS (Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills) course. There will be 8 months study course of CA then there will be two groups of exams. Clear the remaining intermediate exams and enroll for CA finals. Clear the CA final exam for designation of Charted Accountant. CA is the best option for a student who wants to do a job after graduation.

Commerce was considered as a field for average students but it depends on your interest. Every field requires hard work if you want a good career. Teaching, sales, and any part-time job is also an easy-going option for commerce students.
