Amity University doesn’t offer any entrance test for undergraduate programs, but for postgraduate & doctoral programs, it administers the AMCAT. The test is computer-based and evaluates aptitude in the following areas: Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and English Language. The AMCAT is used as a gateway for admission to several postgraduate & doctoral courses at Amity. AMCAT is held twice a year in January & June. Registration for the AMCAT begins a few months prior to the exam. You can fill in the application form online on the AMCAT website. The first attempt fee for AMCAT is Rs.1,500/- and the second attempt for AMCAT will be Rs.1,000/-. The results of the AMCAT are published within a couple of weeks of the examination. Supplementary exam
Amity University provides supplementary exams to students who do not achieve minimum marks in one or several subjects. The exams are held in January, May, July, and September. Eligibility criteria are as follows: Students must have appeared in regular examination for subject(s) they are seeking supplementary examination. Students must have achieved less than 35% total marks in subjects they are seeking additional examination. Students can apply for supplementary exams online on Amity University’s website. The application fee for supplementary exams is Rs 500/- per subject and the last date to apply is a few weeks prior to the start of the exams. The supplementary exams follow the same format as regular exams and the same examiners are responsible for setting the questions. Students who do not pass the supplementary exams will have to re-sit the entire semester.
Revaluation exam
Amity University provides revaluation services for students who are unsatisfied with their marks in any subject. The revaluation process begins with the student submitting a written request to the Examination Cell of the university along with a Rs. 250/- fee per subject. The request must be made within 15 days of declaration of results. The answer script will be re-evaluated and a fresh marksheet will be issued to the student. Revaluation is a manual process that takes several weeks to complete and the university does not guarantee any increase in marks.
