The Pandemic has brought the whole globe to a standstill. The economy of the world is declining continuously. Waves of the Pandemic are hitting the countries so abruptly that there is an emergency in almost every country. The Industries are getting greatly affected by this situation. Things that were greatly affected were the Industries, Small Scale businesses, Shops, Vegetable Vendors, Hotels, Food Outlets, Public Services, and Educational Sectors. Considering the age groups in our country we can confidently say that the Educational Sector is the most affected during the whole Pandemic since we switched to online education.
The College students were greatly affected during this pandemic, the final year students were the most affected group because their exams were delayed, they were deprived of quality education at the final stage due to the Online Teaching, and their Placements also were affected due to this Lockdown. The school students who just went to the school were getting acquainted again with the offline mode of teaching were again locked in their houses resuming their Online Education increasing their Tension and Pressure continuously. Due to the continuous lockdown situation, thousands of workers migrated to their hometown which led to the shortage of workers in the schools and colleges which led to the closing of the educational institutions which led to a shortage of facilities for the teachers teaching the students online. In short, we can say that every aspect which enables the smooth running of Online Education and the systems related to it were greatly affected by the second wave of pandemic hitting the country rapidly.
When the lockdown after the first wave of the pandemic was relaxed then the colleges were opened for the students to start their work on the Practical and their project work. Students saw this opportunity to make great progress in the practical work and all of their pending jobs and according to them they started with a great boom with taking great care. But the second wave of the pandemic came again this time with a great force and a long range of population under its effect.
This forced the educational institutes to close down and resume again with the process of Online Education and close down any chances of online education. This greatly affected the mentality of the students as they were having a steady pace of education offline and were making good progress, but now they were returned to the same method online. The most greatly affected students were of the Third and the Fourth Year because they were about to pursue their internships or jobs, starting preparing for the final projects, attend the seminar, prepare for the GATE Examination, give their final university exams and viva, and various such other jobs which were either Delayed, Cancelled, Postponed or Rectified in the process due to this second wave of the Pandemic. Now, these students have either lost the way of their career or else are starting there with a fresh new hope with problems such as Tension, Mental Fatigue, Unavailability of Basic Needs and Proper Guidance, and various such other problems to face.
The School students, SSC/HSC appearing students were also greatly affected by this second wave of this pandemic. They were but also greatly affected due to this pandemic and now are facing newly updated kinds of challenges. They faced challenges like Giving Exams at Home, Giving the Viva Exams at home in the Online Mode, Learning, Writing, and Completing their whole work with the help of their parents and their family members but not their teachers, avoiding to meet their school mates when were supposed to due to the pandemic and various other problems which affected them Mentally, Physically and Psychologically. The students were gathered in the school after the first wave of the pandemic for a month and were again getting acquainted with their method of Offline education. But as we all know that the second wave hit the country soon and the students were again forced to remain in the home for the time until now. This has led the students to a state of confusion about whether to rely on Online or Offline Education in the present state. In this entire situation, we can conclude that whether it is a college student, a teacher, a school student, or an intern everyone has been greatly affected more by the second wave of the pandemic.
