You need money before admission, after admission, and after visa.

Types Of Universities

Taking Risks (54)

There are two types of universities in Germany public universities and private universities. In a public university, you will pay for semester contributions and no other fees. These are also of two types first is the technical university where their curriculum is purely research-based. The second one is more based on applied science and provides more practical oriented courses where you do short duration courses and you started working. In private universities, the problem is you need to pay whole fees.

You need to check information about the particular university you are applying to. Requirements vary from university to university. IELTS exam fees are 14000 rs and it is for English language proof. If the university eligibility requires the German language you can join institutes in Germany which will cost around 20,00 rs or you have options for online courses too.

Uni-Assist

In Germany, 70% to 80% of universities like DU Berlin work with a company that is known as uni-assist. Uni-assist is the government body that provides a platform through which you can apply to different universities. In this way, universities easily handle the process of admissions. Uni-assist is helpful for students, but you need to pay when you first register with them then you can file any number of application forms with paying application fees. They do not provide admissions they only help with processing your applications.

Admission Requirements

Different universities have different admission requirements. Average students get confused about the importance of grades. High grades do not ensure your admissions in German universities like Indian universities, for best universities minimum of 70% to 75% also works for students. Another important requirement is a letter of motivation you need to write why you want to study in the university and where its contribution will be helpful. If you have a good command of the English language you can write it on your own otherwise you can take professional help. Then you need a letter of recommendation, if you have more than one letter of recommendation from professor’s it will help you in admissions.

For graduates, if you have participated in extra curriculum activities it will help and internships also have extra importance in German universities. Published papers in your area of study will help you. If you can write an academic research paper it will make your profile stronger for a master’s degree. Work experience in engineering colleges does not matter that much but in business schools, it will matter. GRE and GMAT scores do not matter that much, if you have a good sore it will consider an extra academic activity. If you have a good IELTS score above 6.5 then it will benefit you as an English language proof. As German universities are not the only options, if you are unable to get any public university here then search universities in France, Italy, Netherland, and Poland.
