In Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, Islamia College was established in 1913 as a result of the individual efforts of Sir S.A. Qayyum and Sir George Roos Keppel. It is one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in Pakistan, and the Aligarh Movement’s high point serves as the historical nexus of its development. The college is situated close to the Khyber Pass, in the center of Peshawar.
