CUCET 2024 Phase 2 application process has begun for aspirants willing to take admissions in different UG and PG courses at Chandigarh University (CU). Just like NMAT, PUCET, JEE Advanced and other higher education entrance exams in India, CUCET is another exam taken by thousands of aspirants. CUCET is an abbreviation for Central Universities Common Entrance Test and is the gateway to top universities in India.
Overview
- The application process for CUCET 2024 Phase 2 is going on. The application will be closed on 30th August 2023 and the last exam will be conducted on 31st August 2024.
- The CUCET examinations have added more vernacular options for students according to the ongoing winter session in the Rajya Sabha. This new structure will be administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
- All students for undergraduate programs in central universities will be admitted through the Central University Common Admission Test (CUCET) in 2024. Presently, most central universities admit students based on their class 12 results.
Eligibility Criteria
The CUCET 2024 Eligibility criteria before filling the application form:
- Nationality: Applying candidate should be an Indian citizen.
- Appearing: Appearing candidates can also eligible to apply for this exam.
- Qualification:
- UG Courses: Candidates applying for the UG courses must have passed 10th and 12th level from a recognized board.
- PG Courses: For PG courses, must hold a Bachelors degree in the respective course.
- PhD Courses: Candidates applying for the M.Phil/PhD courses must hold a Masters Degree from a recognized board.
Undergraduate: The students must have passed their class 12th from a recognised university. The general category students must have a score of at least 50% and the SC/ST category student must have a score of at least 45% to be eligible for the examination.
Postgraduate: The students who want to apply for a master’s degree in central universities should have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. Students must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least a score of 55% (for general category students) and 50% (for SC/ST category students).
PhD: The students who are applying for a PhD in the central universities should have a master’s degree from a recognised university. The students applying should have a minimum of 55 per cent in master’s (for general category students) and 50% in master’s (for SC/ST students). If the student has cleared JRF, UGC-CSIR, GATE and any equivalent examination, they do not have to take this examination. However, they do need to register for CUCET.

For Online Mode:
- Visit the website of CUCET 2024. (Link is given above)
- Firstly, register yourself on the registration page and create your profile.
- A confirmation message is sent through SMS/ E-mail after successful registration.
- Now pay the registration fee of Rs. 1000/- once registered.
- Fill the application form with all the asked details and choose the exam date available in the dropdown.
- On the scheduled date and time, appear in the CUCET exam through website with your registered login details.
- After completing the exam, the result will be intimated through email and also you can check it on the website.
For Offline Mode:
Applying aspirants have to purchase the CUCET brochure cum form from the university admission offices/ authorised centre by submitting Rs. 1000/- as application fee. After submitting the fee, candidates can follow the below steps:
