Hello Heramb
The validity degree received through of correspondence or distance learning depends on the university. The degree pursued through distance learning mode from an approved university is considered as valid. Eg. IGNOU is an approved university.
It’s recommended to pursue courses from such universities if the candidate is experienced. For an experienced candidate, such courses help in improvement of knowledge base and may help to gain monitory benefits. You may also go for a course through distance learning course if it’s a short term course or a certification course after graduation. For a fresher candidate, regular courses or part time courses are recommended.
All the best
Dear Aspirant,
Correspondence Courses are definitely valid in the industry, however the most important thing is when and who takes those correspondence courses and for what reason. They carry value depending on the above factors.
Correspondence courses if done along with a job after 3-5 years of work experience, then they are a real value add to the resume. Correspondence courses should not be done by freshers just to have them for sake of it as a paper qualification.
Best wishes
Dear Student, correspondence courses are generally meant for those who are either physically disabled and so, are unable to attend regular classes. They may take admission and attend online classes at their homes only or attend PCP's of seven to ten days once in a semester or these courses are beneficial for those who are in job and can't go for a regular study programs. These courses do have a worth and validity, but this thing is also there that at the time of recruitment, the candidates with regular studies are given the priority over those who did degrees under correspondence or distance learning. You may consider these institutions for seeking admission - Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra,.....................
In order to post replies to the question: "Are correspondence courses valid? If they are,do they posses any value?"
