A veterinarian is a physician for animals and apractioner of veterinary medicine. The profession is suitable for those who love animals and has a compassionate predisposition for animals. The aim of veterinary education is to produce vetrrinarians capable of using their skills to improve association of humans and animals by making the later free from their suffering and disease. The primary role of a veterinarian is prevention of diseases not only among animals but also to stop diseases from being transmitted from animal to mankind or vice versa. Food/feed, general public safety,animal health and welfare, environmental hygeine etc are his other responsibilities. Veterinarians also helps in environmental hygeine.
