Bank PO is higher designation offered in the Government Banking Sector. Bank PO exam is conducted for the students who are Graduates. There are two types of Bank PO exam conducted.

The candidate who wish to make a career as PO in any of the Government Banks they need to give an IBPS Bank PO exam. IBPS BANK PO exam is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection for the remaining 21 Government Banks in the Country.

The Bank Po exams are conducted in 2 levels

  1. Common Written Exam (CWE)
  2. Interview

There is a Negative marking system for CWE exam which is 1/4th for every wrong attempt.

The candidates who successfully clears the CWE exam are called for the Interview.

While preparing for the Bank PO exams one should consider the following things and study accordingly.

  1. English - English being the universal official language its widely used and so one needs to work on the 4 areas of it i.e Speaking, Understanding, Listening and writing. While preparing for English one should work on the Vocabulary, Grammar usage, One word Substitute, Comprehension, Articles, Prepositions etc.
  2. Quantative Aptitude - work on the basic mathematical concepts like Interest, Shares and Debentures etc.
  3. Reasoning- Refer to the various Logical reasoning books and practice them
  4. General Awareness- Read daily newspapers, magazine and periodicals and also watch news channels on daily basis. Refer the Newspapers like THE HINDU, THE ECONOMIC TIMES etc.
  5. Refer the previous year papers and solve them.
  6. Attempt the Time Mock Test. This will help you to do the Time Management.
  7. See which areas you need to work more and which not. Accordingly make a time table for studies
