Aspirants can join the CS course after 12th or graduation. The student who is keen to pursue the course after 12th has to undergo three stages to do the cs course. The stages are :-

Professional course.

In addition , one also have to undergo practical training for 15 months which a student can opt to begin after passing the executive programme.

Students who wish to join the course after completing graduation needs to undergo two stages of the company secretaryship i.e executive and professional programme. alongwith the course the student is required to undergo practical training for 15 months under the guidance of com[any secretary in practice. Hello

Thank you for choosing Mera career guide and writing to us. You have mentioned your interest in computer science and I deeply appreciate that. A course in computer science is highly possible after 12th class or even 10th class.

Students who have passed 10th class can study a Diploma in Computer science or Computer applications course. They can also opt for Diploma in Desktop applications. With a Diploma students have an option to directly join an Engineering college in the second year and this is known as lateral entry system. This way they can complete an Engineering degree in three years.

Otherwise 12th class students who finish their schooling can also enrol at a college for a Bachelors degree. For this they should have studied in a group PCC- Physics, Chemistry and Computer science at school. Completing 12th from this group, they could be able to study a BSc Computer science, BCA Bachelor of computer applications, BCM Bachelor of Computer management or a BSc Information technology course. These are science based degrees that last for three years.

Else 12th passed students can also choose to study an Engineering related degree. For this they should have compulsorily studied Physics, Chemistry, Computer science and maths at school. Maths is a compulsory subject for students opting Engineering. You can choose to study BE/ BTech Computer science Engineering or a BTech Information technology course. These degrees are run for four academic years. Engineering colleges run conduct entrance examinations for students who want to get admitted in Engineering degrees. If you want to study BTech degree at IIT institutions then you should appear for GATE exam and should have achieved a high rank. You will then appear for interview and be placed at any of the IIT institutions as per your GATE rank. If you are focused to study your Bachelors degree outside IIT, then you should check whether your college of interest runs their own entrance test or accepts state level or national level Engineering entrance test. There are some deemed/ private universities that run their own entrance test and some examples are Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) and SRM University Chennai. They expect students to clear their entrance test with a minimum pass mark of 60% and they dont usually accept any other test scores.

You will have to decide if your desired degree is a three year based BSc or a four year BE/ BTech. If you have not studied maths at 12th then you may not be eligible for studying an Engineering. Carefully check what degree inspires you the most and choose that. You will have a great life. All the best.
