Hi Maitri,

Changing of school will not hamper your studies if you are clear with your concepts and regular with your studies. All that is needed is a bit of hard work and extra efforts since adapting to changes takes time.

Most schools are based on the same pattern with almost same syllabus. Hence it should not be a problem.

The two most important things that one should keep in mind are:

  • Whichever school or board you choose to go in remember that the teachers of the school are very important. The better the faculty the better the school is.
  • The school that one is changing should be the one that you can adjust in easily. With changing school one will have to adapt to the new environment that sometimes might be difficult for the person. It can lead to a lot of emotional disturbances also, making it difficult for the student to concentrate on his or her studies.

If these two things are fulfilled then you need not worry and can easily go about changing your school.

Dear Aspirant,

It depends on the reason why you change.

Generally, any school you select, it is under CBSE or ICSE or State Board. So if you are from State Board for example, choose a school elsewhere which is State Board. This way you will not lose studies as well as you will be able to cope up easily in another school.

When you speak of changing school in 10th or 12th, you are probably talking about college. As said above, changing school will not matter. Only thing may matter is the culture of the school, class mates, etc.

If you study seriously and sincerely, then changing boards or schools should not be a problem.

Best wishes
