Hello Amey
Don’t be depressed, you are one of few people who have talent like singing. Firt of all, decide how can you balance these two things. Eg. You may allot two hours every day for ‘riyaaz’ and start working with your family for eight or more hours. This will help you have the taste of both the things. After few months you can decide whether you want to start something that will help you earn bread and butter with help of your skills or you want to continue with family business. It’s better to start with something that will guide you further.
All the best
Don't be panic and don't waste your creativity, rather try to give an exposure to your brimming talent, How can you underestimate your versatile and multi talented personality. I have given you an inch of motivation, just put up your efforts in a right direction and make my motivation a mile. Those cousins who are not on speaking terms with you today, rest assured, will take pride in saying that they are your kith and kin. Why don't you join an institution where you may further brush-up your skills and groom your personality with your gifted talents, or else get a certified degree in Acting and Film-making/ Theater and thereafter start an Acting-school to train youngsters. You need to think over it and to consider a few chosen institutions for the same - Satyajit Ray Films and Television Institute, Kolkata,......................CRAFT,Delhi,......
Dear Aspirant,
Aiming to pursue your passion as your career is not at all wrong and can definitely be done successfully.
Doing your family business also is recommended and to continue with your passion is beneficial in the long term. There is no need of getting depressed and I would suggest that for standard income paying attention to family business is good and half of the time you can devote for your passion.
A time will come when you will be able to migrate from family business to passion full time. Do not be in haste, is what I would suggest.
Best wishes
