For your background chances in NIT is far-far, rather win-win chances for you in top private University so you try any best private university like Amity University-Noida, JAYPEE-noida, SNU-Noida, BITS-Pilani, Sashtra -TN and VIT-TN. These institutes offer you unique course structure at B.Tech level aiming the international curricula -multidisciplinary approach they device for the job perspective and career upliftment for the mediocre students.

Now competition in NIT is tough so give one more chance to revitalize the strength is not a bad idea moreover your age and futuristic approach are the primitive factor to crack any academic deal in real life.

I would like to suggest you to check NIT on your personal ground then take the decision to explore the expensive world. By the way private Universities also have the provision to provide you the scholarship on your academic performance irrespective of the fact rich dad versus poor dad---

At the same time you must try your own state level of technical University if possible which gives you the best education with it own terms and conditions.

I hope you have opted ECE based on your own screening so review your strategic plan for suitable course work and must understand the pre-requites, you know your transcript and its weight whaich you have earned at board level. In general students overlook this prime fact and take the admission in any irrelevant course so be assure before taking admission. I have seen many odd examples those have taken U-turn after realizing that It is misfit and i should explore my type of course work. Though there is a will there is a way applicable for intensive study.

The important facts for Engineering students:
1. Combination of Physics, Chemistry and Maths: As you know math is not a science it is tool to understand Physics and Math and gives you strength to devise any noble concept and then represent and make you the best interpreter in technical world. So take your subjects in that way, never be too serious about your good, better and best ranking in any subject rather you understand it in terms of your present situation which could be changed at any point of time.

Hope you will justify your interest in the best possible manner.

Best
