4.Try to take the Psychometric Career Assessment.These assessments assess the students on its area of interest,Strengths and Weaknesses,Personality Traits,Emotional Quotient etc. These assessments help to know the clear picture where we can make our career considering all the above mentioned things.

I must say, you have asked one of the most important question and this question must be asked by every student who wishes to be successful at one go itself.

Career choice must e purely based on ones potentials, ones strength and most importantly Interest. When one is interested in a subject, however difficult it be, one would pursue it till the end.
Hence we see many professionals who have made hobbies to be their career.

Thus the best way to select a career would be "Self Introspection". One must know themselves thoroughly. What is ones strength, what is their interests, what is their passion, what kind of person are you???
Once this question is clear, the stream aspect definitely becomes then an easier choice.

Other than this, we recommend Aptitude tests to students.
An Aptitude tests would be able to pinpoint the child's potentials and help them then make a confirmed choice.

Though as a Counselor I recommend both Aptitude tests as well as Self Introspection.
