Dear Friend,

Here you have not mentioned tour academic qualifications, and what you are doing presently. Seems that you have passed 12 standard with Physics, chemistry and mathematics. To become a software engineer, you should have an aptitude for this field. To test this, first answer the following questions;

Do you have interest in computers?

Do you wish to make new software programs?

Do you think that existing software, you are working with needs some improvement?

Do you love to spend time with your machine?

If the answer of all the questions is YES, then you have aptitude to become a software engineer.

To become a software engineer, you have clear the engineering entrance examination, for that you have to prepare for the entrance exam. The best way to prepare for the exam is regular practice of subjects like physics, chemistry and mathematics. There are many coaching institutes which impart quality trainings to the students. These are regular classes based as well as correspondence based also.

Private Questions

You have to seriously look for the previous years question papers. Try to solve the questions within a given time. You have to make a commitment with yourself, that you are going to devote minimum 7-8 hours daily for your preparations. You should also look for a friend who can give to good and positive company for entrance preparation. You should discuss questions with your friends, that will help you a lot. It is said that, what we read, we forget easily, what we discuss, we never forget.

For physics and mathematics you have to pay special attention for problems. The more you work on problems and numerical, more you will be comfortable in exams.

As I have already mentioned, the solving of previous years question papers, more you will have an idea about the entrance pattern. Every year there is some change in exam pattern, by going seriously through last 5-10 years question papers, you will have an idea of trend of questions.

You have to leave your confusion and follow a set timetable prepared by yourself. Prepare your own notes of those topics, which are difficult for you. Rehearse and work on those difficult and probable topics regularly.

With all my best wishes,

Good Luck....
