. Instrumentation engineering involves the designing and development of highly

The instrumentation engineers can find employment with pulp and paper industry , engineering firms, petrochemical plants, mining industry , oil refineries , gas plants or consulting firms. They are hired by heavy industries such as thermal power stations, steel plants, refineries , cement and fertilizer plants etc as process engineer. The companies that manufactures specialized instruments such as actuators, measuring gauges, positioning devices and robots etc as design and product development engineer. The industries which in an automated set up such as food processing industry recruit them to take care of their industrial automation process. Thebio medicalengineering is coming up in such a big way and the companies involved in the manufacturing of bio medical instruments hire them for various repair and maintenance role.The growth in avionics ,astronauticaland space sector has also contributed to the increase scope for instrumentation engineers. Instrumentation engineers can also find roles in both hardware and software companies.
