There is a particular ways and methods which you can follow in order to prepare for any Competitive or General exams which as follows:

First thing is, try to find out the pattern of the NATA examination first in order to start your preparation because if you do not know the pattern of the examination then there is no way you can prepare well for the examination. 

There are two set of tests to clear the NATA examination.

• Drawing test.
• Aesthetic sensitivity test.

Now how to prepare for NATA examination:

• Refer previous years question papers as this will help you to know the pattern of the questions clearly which in sense what type of questions are followed how tough are the questions and so on but never reside on previous year question papers alone because it won't help you much in your preparation but just give you the idea of the exam.
  
• Refer good books or join any coaching classes. So, once you know the pattern of the examination you will have an idea about the level of the exam i.e. is it easy or tough etc according to your thoughts then you can plan yourself for whether to attend some coaching class to prepare for the exam or do it by self-study.
  If you are planning to do self-study then the best way to prepare is to refer some recommended books which are available in the market.

If you can follow the above points then for sure you can get good marks in the examination.
