Hello Vikas,
Firstly ask yourself why you chose B.Com. Answering this question will sort your choice for the furure.
Anyways I can only list down few options. Choice is yours. But before you select an option, read through the careers as to what they entail, skills demanded, future potentials. Based on this and your interest select accordingly.
The immediate choice students opt for is an MBA. Followed by a masters degree, courses in banking and finance, certificate course in mutual funds, share market etc. Apart from this, you can opt for non commerce field like mass media, advertising, animations, web designing, hotel management, hospitality management etc.
Wish you good luck...
Do not worry. There are many like you who are confused. In case you want to know your right direction and the right career based on your skills, personality and aptitude a good idea would be to take a good psychometric test (like the Ideal career test or commerce career selector available on www.careerguide.com ).
The test report will enable you to know your strengths and hence help you choose the right career.
If I begin to give you a list of courses you can pursue it'll be very long. So, just to name a few- journalism, law, M.Com, B.Ed, M.B.A, advertising, designing etc.
In case you want to take up a job, you may apply for numerous central and state govt jobs for which graduation is the eligibility (eg civil services, defence, para military). Banking sector is also open for you. Please note that most of these are based on selection tests and or interviews, for which you will have to prepare well.
Having said that, do not get bogged down by the bulk of information, take one step at a time. Once you have taken a test to know your suitability for a career please go ahead and do write back for any clarifications.
Best wishes!
Hello Vikas K Shrivastav,
Thanks for Asking..!!
Many Candidates have the same confusion, what to do after completing Graduation.
There are always two options available.
1. Go for higher studies
2. Search for a job.
So Firstly you have to decide, which option you want to choose.
If you want to go for Higher Studies, then you can pursue M.Com, MBA, MCA etc.
But if you are interested in getting a job, then you can prepare for Government Job Exams like Banking Exams or civil services.
In my personal opinion, getting a government Job is always a better choice , It provides future securities & higher opportunities.
To get a Banking sector job you can prepare for IBPS PO, IBPS Clerk, SBI PO, IBPS RRB, RBI Exam etc.
The syllabus of all banking exams is almost same. So you can prepare for all the exams at the same time.
One of the most common careers that cross every commerce student's mind is CA & CS. If you can work hard then you must go for this. This course takes time & hard work. But after clearing the CA exam, future is really bright.
Now the choice is yours. Which one you want to go for.
I hope it will help you.
Best of Luck :)
