Hi Natasha,
A couple of questions that you need to answer for yourself; before you embark on this path.
1) What is wrong with the current career that you have chosen? Is it tat you are not liking it? Or is it because there are not much scope (in your mind) for the same?
If the answer to the first part is Yes, then you should/may change your career! But, if it is yes for the second part, then take a relook at the whole thing.
2) DO you have a comfortable support system at home; which will support you on this decision? If it is a Yes; this will help in the implementation of your desire. Else; the going might be tough. Are you ready for the same?
What is the guarantee that the career you have chosen now will be suitable to you? On what factors did you come to this conclusion? WHat if, this also goes wrong? Did you do a SWOT analysis on yourself. Google this and do it.
The best method to know about which career suits you is take the Psychometric tests that are offered on this website; CareerGuide.com. You also get a chance to speak to a Career Counselor and ask all the relevant questions. Based upon the same, you can go ahead and make a success of your career.
All the very best;
Vinay Wardhan.
Natasha - your question is a good one but lacks critical information. This is a serious decision and most probably life changing. The best way to go about this would be to pick a counselor you are comfortable with and move forward if you are not able to do so on your own. Depending on your career options/domain choices, you can pick a counselor whose profile/experience/qualifications are the best match for you.
I see that a couple of other counselors have also responded so hopefully you have a better idea about how to go about this career shift.
Good luck!
In order to post replies to the question: "I'm looking for a change in my career and want to know how I can which career should I choose and in case I have to study further I'm willing to do so "
