Till the time you reach the final year I would suggest select anyone to specialise in. Sailing in two boats would not help you bank on, on any one shore. Also due to varied courses universities for masters degree gives preference to students who have studied 6 papers in their graduation days.
Please note that with an economics degree you would have opportunities in banks, financial institutes, government organization as a statistician, investment banker, financial or business analyst or advisor. Follow it up with a masters degree or an MBA in finance scope increases. At the sametime you could opt for civil service exams too.
In terms of literature, you could find opportunities in publishing house as an editor or translator. At the sametime for foreign entities you could work as an interpretor especially in the embassy. After a course in journalism you could work as a journalist or freelance too. You could pursue B.Ed and opt for teaching as well.
