For Short service commission, one needs to complete their training from Army center Orissa. Eligibility for which is below 24 years of age, clearing of CDSE exam conducted by UPSC and the SSB interview.Another route is through NCC cadre.

As far as academic is concerned, I suppose you are a 12th Science student, since you have mentioned B.tech, a course that can be pursued by a 12th PCM student.
If you do not wish to go in for an Enginnering course, being a science students some of the options you have is either continue in the Science field or shift to Comeerce or Huanities or into Designing or Media related fields.
