Dear Aspirant,
That you now decided completely that you don't want to remain in the science field, I would suggest you to shift to the commerce stream after your 12th results and graduate in Commerce (BCom) or BBA or BBM or BMS.
Shifting to the commerce field for graduation will make you more comfortable with the management and commerce field and will help you in pursuing MBA after graduation.
For MBA, in the last year of graduation it is recommended that you join coaching classes for CAT / CMAT / SNAP / XAT and try getting into top 10 BSchools. Getting into the top 10 BSchools is very necessary for a stable and secure career in management and commerce.
You can join IMS Learning or Career Launcher or other local famous MBA entrance test coaching class.
Best wishes
Hi Simran,
Choosing a stream or rather a career is an essential decision and one cant falter here. Moreover changing decisions is a sign of being unsure.
Since you have appeared for medical entrance exam and now opting for management, seems to be a bit dicey situation.Since you are shifting from Science to a Commerce stream.
Please be sure of it and then go ahead with your decision.
Before I proceed, I would recommend, an Aptitude tests, whereby you are sure of your potentials and then can make a confirmed choice and will be successful too. As far as choosing management stream is concerned, I agree with the above counselor, Annadjee, that you can opt for BMS / BBA, since they are undergraduate management course. SO roughly you would be exposed to the management concepts, though to work at the managerial level, you need to pursue an MBA.
For MBA, minimum qualification is being a Graduate.
And since you have decided management in future, why not make your base stringer.
So best would be to opt for either BMS / BBA, the undergraduate management course.
Majorly BMS is offered by the Mumbai University, a 3 years Graduate course, applicable to any 12th pass student. Admission based on merit. It is mainly theoretical course, whereas BBA is affiliated to Pune University. Admission mainly through entrance exam for any 12th pass student. This course is more practical oriented, followed by weekly and monthly presentations and practical concept oriented teaching. Internships is compulsory.
Hope this helps.
Wish you good luck.............
