IIT will be your door to a promising career.
Now we can get to business. The way to get into an IIT is to succeed in Joint Entrance Exam(JEE) which is conducted in two parts-JEE Main and JEE Advanced. The exams are in objective pattern. Only top rankers in JEE Main will be qualified for the JEE Advanced exam.
For clearing this highly competitive exams one should prepare for it along with the class 12. Even if you don't make it in the first attempt, don't loose heart. Dedicating one year for such a highly competitive examination won't be a wastage of time. All the best for your future.
