Hello there/ Firstly congratulations for completing Company Secretaryship course successfully and also commerce graduation alongside. So now you a qualified company secretary and a graduate. I hope you would like to continue in the legal, secretarial field and love it too. According to me, an MBA or CFA would not suit you if you wish to make your career in secretarial / compliance field, because this field an MBA or CFA has no role to play literally. There are two things here: one is if you wish to continue in the secretarial / legal field, then it is highly recommended that you pursue LLB course instead of an MBA. Today in the industry you will see many successful company secretaries armed with a law degree that is LLB along with their ACS qualification. If you pursue LLB at this point of time instead of an MBA, then later you will be able to handle the secretarial / compliance work as well as the legal work of the organisation. There are many people who are Managers for secretarial and legal department. The most common designation I have seen in the industry is Company Secretary and Manager Legal or with a good amount of experience, later you can be Company Secretary and VP or President Legal. Doing LLB in combination with Company secretary is fanstastic and the most sought qualification by companies all over irrespective of the type of industry or sector. Second thing is if you want to diversify and want to do an MBA or CFA as an additional and different qualification apart from the ACS, then I would suggest you to go for CFA. However please note that if you wish to do a job and along side do CFA, then you need to be very planned, scheduled and disciplined since the CFA course is a lot heavier and tough that Company Secretary course. For pursuing CFA, you need to be very good in mathematics and basically working with numbers

. Company Secretary and CFA are two poles apart since company secretary is a master of descriptive/theoritical aspects and CFA is supposed to be a master of numbers and logic. Currently I do not see an company offering you a job of company secretary or in a secretarial department and also giving you the work of a finance analyst. I would suggest if you are interested in finance so much, doing Chartered Accountancy would be best and you get some exemption for papers in the Chartered Accountancy course in ICAI. Thirdly, if you want to be in a leadership role, then doing an MBA Finance would be good since it will give youe exposure in finance and also you will need to work in secretarial field. Best Luck
