There is no particular procedure to become a sub inspector
I am not sure which state you belong to,
When the state public service commission calls in for the application, please fill it up timely
If found eligible they will call you for a medical test/endurance test and then followed by written test
Please ensure that you know the medical specification before hand and check for all the specifications before hand from a medical practitioner.
The written test generally consists of general knowledge and language ability.
As part of the endurance test generally a run of approximately 5 kms should be there(which I am not very sure of) and other tests.
